I was fortunate enough to go to the opening night of LA Art Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center. It’s an annual event that houses galleries from all over the world. Tonight was a big shin dig for patrons, collectors and artists and art enthusiasts. I’m always on the lookout for glass and am usually disappointed at how few galleries carry glass. I was absolutely delighted when I saw Marlene Rose’s work at the Galerie Luco booth. Marlene creates sand cast sculptures and they are lovely. This has to be about the most delicate crown I have ever seen. I like the use of the variety of glitter that is literally sprinkled about the wire.
