March 10th there’s a party at Pacific Art Glass in Gardena, CA. Ryan Staub is in the house doing roll-ups and he knows what he’s doing! I have had a piece of glass rolled up into a beautiful blown vase by Ryan…and did I say it’s beautiful? Oh yes I did. There is also a projects class with Roger Thomas going on at the same time. This is a fusing class for intermediate to advanced kiln formers. I took Roger’s last class at Pacific and it has given me so much information to make some of my projects amazing. So wander over to Pacific Art Glass’ web site and see what else is going on…

Dinosaur Beanie – Crochet Pattern
This Crochet Dinosaur Hat was a labor of love for Maria Weaber, who faced multiple design iterations to achieve the perfect balance of aesthetics and fit.
The goal was to craft a hat using just one skein of the Caron x Pantone yarn, making it both practical and visually appealing. Despite numerous attempts, the final result captures the essence of a dinosaur while ensuring a comfortable and relaxed fit.
Maria candidly shares the challenges encountered during the design process, emphasizing the importance of achieving the right balance between the desired look and the overall fit of the hat. The perseverance and dedication to creating an optimal design shine through, making this pattern not just a set of instructions but a tale of creative determination.
