This is for a pendant but there’s no reason why you can’t make links for bracelets or necklaces or make two that would make great earrings. I love this soldered stained glass pendant from Almondtree Designs.  The elegant curves of the wire and the shiny soldering around the edges of the graceful curve of the glass.

If there’s one thing that doesn’t go out of style it’s stained glass window sun catchers.  Don’t you agree?  This minimalist rendition of cherries is just sweet and I love the contrast with the snow in the background.

You just never know where your internet travels will take you.  This glass screen came up on the vegascondoscene.com site.  I didn’t know there was a Vegas condo scene.

This particular condo includes a men’s spa, where this glass panel is housed.  I love the illusion that separating panels give, without actually being a wall.  Wouldn’t it be cool to have a loft separated by this kind of art to define your spaces?  Imagine the sun coming through.

Super Bowl Sunday in the U.S.  Living in Arizona I would be remiss if I didn’t make mention today that our team is in the big game.  I’m not a sports fan but there is something about your hometown team making it that brings it out in all of us.

So, today I bring you stained glass sport teams clocks. Yes, no you too can get your favorite team forever captured in stained glass.  And not to offend the Steelers, here’s the other team too:

That’s the caption on this Batman lamp that was submitted to the craftgossip suggest a link.  I’m not sure what the rusted metal reference is as I believe this lamp is stained glass.  Maybe the creator will come here and tell us about it!

On a whim I recently bought a handcrafted fused night light at an art show. We have kids and we have to have night lights so why not let it be a piece of art in your home right?

I should have known that light shining through glass would be spectacular. It really helped that the night lights on display were plugged in and showing all their glassy glory.

Today I came across these three night lights on the Deb’s House Concerts blog, and I’m in love. I bet they look great with light shining through.

These gorgeous glass doors are part of the Pearl Avenue Branch Library in San Jose, California.  Titled, “Solar Illumination I: Evolution of Language,” the doors (and other glass art in the library) is the work of Lynn Goodpasture in collaboration with Peter Glass Studios.  If you thought glass art was beautiful before, think how sexy it is when it goes green.

The panels contain photovoltaic cells that produce power as the sun shines through.  For more detailed information, be sure to read the MarketWire article.

Glass is one of the few mediums that uses light to make it sing and nothing says that more than stained glass windows.  Opaque glass can be beautiful in itself but when you ad the element of light, moreso sunlight, you witness magic.  How do you use light in your work or surroundings?

At almost 52 feet high, this stained glass steeple is quite spectacular, don’t you think?  I came across this picture on the Knoxville Daily Photo blog.  Thanks for capturing such a great photo and sharing the beauty!

Today is a double dose of glassy goodness.  Not only are these old bottles spectacular, but some of the art above them is made of great beveled and leaded glass.  I came upon these bottles and art pieces by Steve Farrington at the Remodelista blog.  (scroll down for Steve’s work).  I wasn’t able to turn up an official site for Farrington’s work though.  I’d love to see more!

So, it’s Christmas day and maybe it’s a little unconventional to post pictures of latke plates and dreidels but I’m going for it anyway. Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah. They’re happening at the same time this year, you know.

My daughter would love this fused glass latke plate…not just because it is funky, but she loves latkes. What makes it a latke plate? I really don’t know. But that’s how the Style Insider is touting it.
