Have I mentioned how much I love casting glass? It’s the journey not the destination, right? Casting is a rather involved process that can turn off even the most passionate glass folk. Not me though. And certainly not Cynthia Morgan. The results of cast glass are so lovely. Here we have part 2 of Cynthia’s lesson on casting, open face, going from clay to plaster to glass. This produces one of kind pieces, although if you really wanted to make repeats you could make a rubber mold off of the glass and then do waxes and lost wax casting. I do like working from clay to plaster to glass since it’s pretty straight forward. So check out Cynthia’s new lesson and you’ll be that much closer to making your own cast glass.
