It’s summertime and the 4th is tomorrow. Make some decorations for your barbecue! They’re easy and they use recycled glass. Sounds like a win win to me. Over at the Fine Craft Guild web site they have this project. There are votives and a vase for paper flowers…these are projects for the glass novice…think of it as an introduction to glass crafts. And your table will look awesome. Happy 4th of July!! Keep it safe and sane!!

Create Stunning Cards with Solar Paste
Solar Paste created by Simon Hurly for Ranger Ink is a paste that looks very unassuming at first. It’s an almost white, light color with a creamy consistency that’s subtle on white cardstock but it really comes alive when applied to dark cardstocks. It comes in 6 different colors that each have a cool metallic shift.
Kristina decided to try it out and created three cards with different techniques with some amazing results. For one card she used the Solar Paste with a stencil, for another she created her own simple background with different colors of the paste and lastly she designed some flowers and leaves, all on dark black cardstock. She mounted the panels on white bases and added white heat embossed sentiments to complete each card idea. She’s sharing a video tutorial on making these cards with some tips for using the Solar Paste.
