Lani Mc Gregor of Bullseye Glass posted this educational video on Facebook and I thought a little science wouldn’t hurt…why is glass transparent. Cool stuff. It comes from TedED and Mark Miodownik. Most people take glass for granted so a bit of information about it can help with understanding it as well as appreciating it more. As a glass artist I love every aspect of glass, from it’s everyday applications to the gorgeousness that comes out of the most accomplished of artists. And as I like to say when I’m teaching about glass, it’s science and if science had been this much fun, we’d all be scientists! We do have a good time in my classes.
