Flipping through the newest issue of Glass Patterns Quarterly, which I picked up in Glass Craft and Bead Expo the other day, I saw a great article on the Thermocouple, which is a very important part of everyone’s kiln. It’s what reads the temperature in the kiln and if it’s not in the proper spot or not hooked up well your work may end up over fired. You can find out more information on kilns at Paragon’s web site. The author of the regular column in the magazine, Arnold Howard, works for Paragon and writes instruction manuals for them. You can sign up for their kiln newsletter at their site. And you’ll also find archived information.
