My passion is glass. I melt it and form it into cute beads…pretty beads…sometimes beads that blow my mind. I also fuse glass into objects…functional art. A sink…a lamp…plates and bowls. Then there’s mosaic. Bits of glass and tiles adhered to objects and walls and surfaces. It’s all about color and form and function regardless of the technique used. What do you do? How do you make your glass sing? This is a bit of audience participation…we’ve done it before. Inspiration was the last bonus bead blog. So this one will be about what you do with glass. The first five comments I receive will get a set of beads I’ve made. Little accents. Some fabulous Double Helix glass. Maybe Terranova, one of my new favorites. Maybe Kronos. Could be Triton. Maybe Aurae. Your comments will determine your beads. But there are no bad beads…

I like working with glass also. I am in the process of learning to do mosaics. It is such a beautiful art form. Thanks!
i love glass. all kinds. i make some jewelry – earrings and necklaces, but mostly, i’m a lampwork collector.
i just can’t seem to part with the ones i love the most!
I love beads and glass! I have decorated handbags with dangles of beads and made some dangles of beads for vases and wine glasses. But, mostly, I love jewelry, It’s art that I can take with me anywhere, anytime!!!
I can’t describe what I do with glass in words other than “PLAY!” I fuse it, screenprint on it, and lampwork it, and I’m hoping to learn to solder it soon. I’ve also taken a turn in the hot shop and helped out with blowing it. I love how glass plays with light and how it moves, and my goal for my glass in the next year is to make some light fixtures with it!
Those are beauties:) I love glass. It’s so much fun to manipulate a molten substance and see it become beautiful pieces of art. So satisfying.
I look to nature for color and textures. I love to learn, always learn. I hate to stagnate. I haven’t done fused glass, yet, or tubing, but probably someday. I’d like to make Christmas ornaments from tubing, since Christmas is my favorite time:)
Thanks, Jan
I’ve already won some of your fabulous beads, so it’s not necessary to enter me in this, but my passions with glass are collecting and melting.

I have always admired art, and especially glass and hand-cut crystal. I’m an abrasive engraver (glass etching/surface, two-stage and multi-stage carving by sandblasting) and also do gold leafing, but hope some day I will learn the art of traditional painting on glass. I’m also going to have to learn how to fuse from my hubby, since I have won a Fire Fly Kiln by Paragon at one of the local wholesale/distributor shops. I am the photographer of our glass art and stained glass panels.
Hi Vicki…
Thanks for stopping by. Did you win the kiln from Pacific? That’s pretty cool!
